Saiyuuki Reload Blast

Adventure and action mixed with a side of comedy and impressive characters. Saiyuuki Reload Blast really won me over.

At first, I thought that it would be an action anime with colourful characters but lacking any real storyline but I must admit that this anime was far from that.

It is set in a world where humans and demons use to reside together peacefully, but now that peace has been lost due to a corrupting source radiating from the west, now the once peaceful demons are attacking humans.

On their journey to the west the four main characters; Genjo Sanzo, Goku, Hakkai and Gojou, find themselves slaying berserk demons as they make their way to India to stop the revival of the demon Gyumaou. Of course that's not even the tip of the iceberg, turns out their story together began 500 years ago!

I literally binge watched this 12 episode anime today and I have to say that I wish I knew about this series sooner and despite the fact that it has left me with more questions than answers, it is a very entertaining anime. I'll admit also, that there are some tear jerking moments. 

This is actually the 4th season or so of this anime so I'll have to watch the first parts if I am to really understand the story line.

I would not recommend it for very young audiences though, due to the language, some content and graphics; there's literally blood splashed all over the screen. It is a Josei anime intended for older teens and young adult women so that's probably why.

This anime has that, boys will be boys feel to it and like any good art, it will leave you feeling something! Definitely a great watch if you're in the mood for a comedy, action, adventure anime.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi- Bed and Breakfast for Spirits

Just as the title suggests, this anime really hits the spot, sweet, cute and enticing, Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi has everything to heal your spirits. 

From the art to the music to the storyline, this anime will take you by the hand and gently lead you into the enchanting and supernatural world of ayakashi (basically spirits).

It begins as the main character, Aoi, is taken into the hidden realm by her fiancé, who happens to be the master of the inn Tenjin-ya and an ogre. 🎎

This story is very adorable as Aoi tries to repay her grandfather’s debt without marrying him, and what better way to do that than to open a restaurant. 🍜🍚🍱

Of course, it's a romantic anime with just enough action to keep you hooked. Aoi  progressively falls in love with her fiancé as the series unfolds and he is already in love with her and he's not afraid to show it.

Aoi also has a strong and determined personality, with just enough weakness to make her character balanced, which is very refreshing to witness.

It's a very mellow, calming anime and I highly recommend it! 😘
