Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru

This anime was quite enjoyable. Fantasy, comedy, spiced with action and the unity of brotherhood; Touken Ranbu Hanamaru or "The Dance of Swords", is a very cute anime series you can enjoy anytime you're in the mood for an anime to relax to.

The characters in this series are samurai swords which were brought to life as humans.Their main purpose is to protect history by defeating the history retrograde army whose goal is to change the course of history as they know it. But would their own attachments to the past and regrets lead them to become just like the enemies they are fighting against?

This is the first installment of this series but it was very satisfying to watch down to the very end.
The characters all had unique and alluring personalities and the artwork was superbly designed. The scenery in this anime was also very attractive and so were the characters. 

Another aspect of this anime that I really liked was the theme of friendship, brotherhood and teamwork. There was never a dull moment, however, at some points, I felt like the storyline was a bit fragmented but everything usually came together nicely in the end.

The emotions of the characters also captivated me and there were some amazing quotes that taught great life lessons.



It's a 12 episode anime and I recommend it if you want to watch a cute fantasy anime with few action scenes, that's still funny and has a homey feel to it.

PS:  I had a really difficult time choosing pictures for this post because there were so many pretty and funny scenes in this anime that I wanted to share!

Zoku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru

Season two of this anime was very enjoyable as well. It was similar to season one of course and still lots of fun, laughter and memories to be had by these sword brothers.

There were lots of new swords and of course, new scenarios to keep you smiling as you enjoy this relaxing anime peppered in between with with action.

I highly recommend this anime because it's fun, clean, relaxing and heartwarming. And of course, the artwork was as impeccable as usual!



Two seasons, 12 episodes each. Definitely try it if you haven't already!
