Namu Amida Butsu!: Rendai Utena

This one is from the 2019 spring collection and it's sure to awaken all those happy spring feelings even in the winter! Namu Amida Butsu is a story about the battle against human vices and the 13 buddha's who protect the peace by ridding people of these vices.

This story, however, focuses on two deities in particular; Bonten and Taishakuten who were invited to the Buddhist temple in order to fill in for the cosmic Buddha; Dainichi Nyorai.

However, Bonten and Taishakuten got along as well as oil and water. They would often get into arguments and rarely agreed on anything. The blunt and straight-to-the-point Taishakuten could never appease the thoughtful yet round-about Bonten.

However, both characters wished strongly to rid the world of vice and thus their adventures at the Buddhist temple begins.

Mara; a powerful deity who wants to spread vices in the world, is the major villain in this series, along with the mysterious Ashura; a relation of Taishakuten.

This series was a mix of action, and slice-of-life sweetened by adorable moments, as the cast of characters tried to live normally and fulfill their deepest calling of ridding the world of the vices once and for all.

The characters in this series were very individual, and their personalities made the anime worth watching. The graphics weren't bad either.

This series is very similar to Touken Ranbu and if you like one, you may like the other since the setting is similar and the anime, in general, has a similar feel to it. In addition, just like Touken Ranbu, this anime was based on a game.

The storyline really was interesting though and unlike Touken Ranbu and Touken Ranbu Hanamaru, there was more of a continuous story,

Can Bonten and Taishakuten help save the world from vice, or will their differences get in the way, putting all of humanity at stake? Who is Ashura and why does Taishakuen care about him so much?

Watch Namu Amida Butsu!: Rendai Utena today and find out.

Tong Ling Fei (Psychic Princess)

Qian Yun Xi, the first daughter of the Prime Minister, who was said to be cursed, was brought up in the mountains away from her father. However, when her step-sister is ordered by the emperor to marry his cruel son, her father brings his first daughter to secretly take her place.

This is about the only tragic part of this hilarious tale. Bold and daring, Quian Yun Xi was not phased even as her new husband immediately decides to send her away to his abandoned estate. She and her spirit friend; riceball, quickly fix up the place before her new adventure begins.

Lively, bold and well learned in arts including martial arts, medicine, and cross-dressing, Qian Yun Xi finds her way around easily while enjoying her newfound freedom from the mountain where she was brought up.

Although her father and his family detest her, she is quickly able to win the hearts of those around her and is even able to remain positive in spite of the coldness of her new husband.

Her optimism, along with her fearless way of speaking and acting immediately tags her as an unruly girl in this Chinese imperial setting, but they only added to her charm in the eyes of those that loved her.

Qian Yun Xi's character is very sassy and outspoken, while also being a bit mischievous and that brings her and Ye Wang (her husband), closer together, in spite of how he had initially felt toward her.

Whether it's giving her husband backchats, getting into squabbles with his concubines or saving the day with her quick thinking, Quian Yun Xi is very strong, and fair in her judgment while also being optimistic and kind in spite of everything.

It wasn't super intense thanks to the comedy and her generally rowdy personality which made the anime even more lively and fun to watch.

It was a really sweet and cute romantic Chinese anime, and while the subtitles had me confused at times, it was a great story to watch. The opening alone was enough to give one a smile, so I'm sure you'll enjoy this series!

I will warn that it is for ages 13 and older, and of course, it's a clean anime.16 episodes to binge watch at your leisure, enjoy watching Psychic Princess today!

Mo Dao Zu Shi- Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation

This anime was amazing! Captivating from beginning to end; the characters, art style, music, and plotline, will certainly pull you into the ancient world of Chinese cultivation.

I just happened upon it while I was looking for recommendations for anime like Katsugi Touken Ranbu. It is actually a Chinese anime, this is the second Chinese anime I've watched, the first being Quanzhi Gaoshou. I liked this one more than I liked Quanzhi Gaoshou though.

It follows the life of Wei Wuxian, the disciple of the noble household of Jiang. It begins as Wei Wuxan is reincarnated through a forbidden ritual by a young man seeking revenge on his cousin. Wei Wuxan, surprised by the reincarnation, carries out the wish of his host, but meets some colleagues of his past life along the way.

The story eventually pulls us back to the time when Wei Wuxian was young. His mischievous ways and lively personality immediately places him in Lan Wangji's bad books, but Wei Wuxian was determined to befriend the strict and serious Lan Wangji, who had rebuked him more than once for his flippant behavior and for breaking numerous rules.

He has a good relationship with most people though and is even considered a big flirt, but his exuberant personality makes him more enemies than one along his journey.

While Wei Wuxian was a brilliant student he often got into trouble due to his rebellious ways, however, his revolutionary ideas were even more of a concern to his teacher and friends. He wanted to use cultivation in order to harness the resentful energy of the dead in order to defeat their foes, in other words, necromancy.

Later in the story, the most powerful clan; the Wen clan, hosts an archery competition open to all the clans, however, they meet a deafening defeat. Now, in an attempt to show their true power and exorcise any rebels, they begin oppressing the other clans in various ways.

The storyline of this anime was really great and if you're looking for an anime with strong lead male characters and no romance, this is the one for you!

I love anime with powerful male leads and Wei Wuxian can most definitely be added to the list. I think I enjoyed it a lot because of how intense it was, it really had me engrossed.

This action-packed 15 episode anime will keep you hooked from beginning to end. Of course, it has its funny moments as well so it's not too difficult to watch.
It was clean but it is based on a Danmei Manhua (equivalent to a shonen-ai manga).
Keep in mind also that there is the use of strong language and it may be classified in the horror genre.

Can the rebellious Wei Wuxian save the master of Jiang and overcome the forces of the Wen Clan, or will he end up being overcome by his heretic desires? Find out for yourself, watch Mo Dao Zu Shi, (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation), and get captured in a beautifully designed, chaotic world.

Fairy Tail- Final Season

If you love the adventure comedy type anime, this anime is probably already your favorite! Fairy Tail is all fun, action, adventure, and comedy packed into one beautifully designed anime.

The creative storyline captures its audience straight from the get-go so even if you're brand new to anime, I'm sure you'll love this one.

So far there have been nine seasons. The ninth season; and the final season is currently ongoing but is expected to wrap up at around episode 51.
Don't be afraid if you're starting the series from the beginning though, binge-watching this anime will take you on an adventure you will wish never ends!

Fairy Tail is about the guild known as Fairy Tail and it follows the lives of some strong and charismatic characters; particularly Natsu Dragneel, the son of a dragon, his cat; Happy and Lucy Heartfilia, the daughter of a celestial spirit wizardess. Of course, there are many other well-liked characters in this series.

In short, Fairy Tail is the strongest wizard guild in the city of Fiore, which employs some of the greatest wizards.

Their quests are always interesting due to the eccentric personalities of the characters and also owing to the fact that they can overcome any weaknesses that cross their path through the power of loyalty and friendship.

This, the Final season, starts as the members of the wizard guild Fairy Tail, which was banned for the past year, come back together. However, when they come back, they learn their guilds darkest secret and must now fight to protect it from Zeref; an immortal dark wizard.

So far, this final season has really been a great watch, though I only got hooked at episode 6. Lot's of secrets have been revealed and loads of super strong and brand new villains have come into play. This season is certainly jam-packed with surprises.

Of course, let's not forget the old, for that, is what makes Fairy Tail so charming; the old bonds and experiences shared by this amazing cast of characters. The soundtrack is also very amazing!

If I had to sum up this season into a few words I would say, "Zeref vs Fairy Tail" but even that is a bit of an understatement!

Like all great art, however, Fairy Tail not only gives you something beautiful to look at but also leaves you feeling something.

In addition, the characters this time come back, in this season, bigger, cooler and stronger than ever before!

Fairy Tail will teach lessons like never giving up no matter how impossible circumstances may seem and to keep pushing forward in spite of your past as you tag along with these strong characters on the adventure of a lifetime.

Love, kindness, friendship, strength; all these themes and more will most definitely help Fairy Tail capture your heart. You're sure to find yourself in this anime, so don't be shy, start your adventure today!
